PaesslerNetflowTesterdumpsthedataofallNetflowpacketsthatacomputerreceivesfromaCiscorouter.ThiscanbeusefulwhendebuggingbandwidthmonitoringconfigurationsbasedonCisco'sNetflowprotocol.FirsttheNetflowprotocolmustbeenabledandconfiguredontherouter.ThentheroutermustbegiventheIPaddressofthecomputerrunningNetflowtestersothattheUDPdatapacketswithNetflowdataaresenttothatcomputer.Justfollowthesesimpleinstructions:1)DownloadPaesslerNetflowTesterandthenstartnetflowtest.exe2)EntertheIPandportnumberthatyouhaveconfiguredasnetflowpackettargetinyourCiscoRouter.Usuallyselecting"anyIP"shouldwork,insomecasestheIPmustbeexplicitlyselected.3)Enable"StartNetflowCollector".4)Youshouldnowseealineinthelogfileforeachpacketthecomputerreceives.Eachlineshowsthetime,netflowversion,numberofflowsandtheIPofapacket(note:Youneednetflowversion5forPRTGTrafficGrapher!)5)Enable"ShowFlowData"toalsoshowthecorrespondingflowdata.6)Ifyoudonotseeanyactivitythenthesystemdoesnotreceiveanynetflowdata(e.g.duetomisconfigurationoftherouterorafirewallblockingthepackets,etc.)
